The keypad on this phone has a soft and nice clicking touch, but I'm not entirely convinced by its black color, which seems a bit greyish to me. The Nokia 105's design is similar to my old Nokia model, with more rectangular edges than some other smartphones I've seen. My size preference for the phone is that it feels smaller on the wrist than most others in this class. While the screen is small and compact at just 1 inch x 1 inch, when you type text, it's easy to see multiple lines of characters - four, actually - on a tiny screen.

The month calendar is squeezed onto three vertical lines of five cells, making it hard to read. The time display in the main screen looks elegant with white digits and a clear white background for reading, but I'm not sure about the FM radio reception feature, as I'd need 3.5 mm earphones to get it working properly.

The phone's alarm clock has multiple settings for different alarms, and you can set up to five at once, although you'll need separate earpieces to use them. The calculator function is also available, but there aren't any additional features like a flashlight or stopwatch on this phone. A little more variety in the pre-installed apps would be nice.

I'm glad I have four different color options for the screen: grey, blue, pink-like, and green. When you type on the keypad, it's illuminated with a soft white glow that makes typing easy in low-light conditions. This battery life is good - 800 mAh should last a decent amount of time without needing to recharge. The phone also comes with a small charger.

One feature that's been frustrating for me is its lack of splash or dust resistance, particularly around the edges where the speaker and charging points are located. If this phone were sold at a price below £20, I think it would be a better value for money.

I'm getting two new Nokia phones, actually - one's been my landline for years and I've just upgraded to this other one as a mobile phone for when I'm out and about. The battery life is far better than the last ones I've had. One of the features that really impressed me was how easy it was to switch between modes.
