Corded, big button home phone was provided for my elderly mother but not required (somehow we ended up with two - which are dentical - this listing is for one, but two are available). It has its own pre-supplied SIM card installed to act as a backup should your home' standard/main digital phone line service be unavailable in a power cut. I assume it could be used like a mobile phone if you use your own SIM card to provide the voice plan, but does require a power socket.
